Overview:

Give & Go is looking for an experienced Facilities Program Manager to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure and building systems. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will lead facility maintenance programs, capital projects, regulatory compliance initiatives, contractor management, and energy optimization efforts while supporting operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and reliability of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead facility improvement projects, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Manage contractors, service providers, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor energy usage, utility costs, and support sustainability initiatives.  
  • Act as a role model for safety and support food safety and quality programs.

Recipe for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, Building Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in facilities engineering, building operations, or industrial maintenance.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and refrigeration certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and building systems.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP or Fiix.
  • Knowledge of GMP, WHMIS, Ministry of Labour, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Strong vendor management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and drive issues through to resolution.
