Night shift: 11pm-7am
 

Job Overview: 

Under the general supervision of the Line Leader or Production Supervisor; the Dough Controller’s primary responsibility is to coordinate closely with the Line Operators to let them know where the required Dough for the Line is and how it is organized so the Line Operator can follow FIFO. They will be required to manage all aspects of the dough creation and ensure the correct temperatures are used and storage process is followed. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Obtains and reviews all documentation for making batches. 
  • Responsible for filling up the tags with all the required information for the Dough Racks. 
  • Ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment including cleaning and inspection of equipment. 
  • Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and free of hazards 
  • Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety. 
  • Regularly monitor that the product conforms to quality specifications 
  • Responsible for coordinating with the Line Operator. 
  • Ensure the racks are taken following FIFO. 
  • Responsible for managing space in the freezer according to instructions. 
  • May be required to use thermometers or other instruments to monitor process. 
  • Ensures production schedule is being followed at all times.

Recipe for Success: 

  • Completion of high school education or equivalent 
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience 
  • Food manufacturing experience an asset 

A Few Extra Ingredients: 

  • Computer competency. Gets up to speed quickly on machine controls, SPC data entry or other data entry requirements. 
  • Fast paced environment in an automated, high-speed manufacturing facility 
  • Strong team skills. Able to work independently and contribute to team success. 
  • Good verbal communication and understanding of written materials (SOPs, training documents). 
  • Temperature controlled and clean working environment 
  • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs 
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making skills.
