About Giga

Giga is building gigawatts of AI data centers to hasten a future of intelligence and abundance. We build data centers fast and at scale by combining the capabilities of an equipment supplier, engineering firm, general contractor, and real estate developer under one roof. Our team moves quickly and thinks practically. If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.

Why join Giga

  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.

What you'll do

As a Warehouse Technician, you will be hands-on at the heart of our manufacturing operation — bringing complex energy systems to life from raw components to finished assemblies. This role is responsible for receiving incoming materials, storing and organizing inventory, and picking and staging components needed to keep the production line on schedule. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with a wide range of materials, from small hardware and electrical components to large, heavy transformer parts such as tanks, cores, coils, bushings, and radiators.

Where you'll work

This role will be based at our Houston transformer facility. You must be willing to work onsite full-time in line with the production schedule, including OT and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and parts; verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders, and report discrepancies or damage.
  • Unload trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or overhead cranes as required.
  • Accurately enter receiving, put-away, and pick transactions into the ERP system
  • Store materials in designated locations, maintaining organized, labeled, and easily accessible inventory
  • Pick, kit, and stage components (insulation materials, bushings, gaskets, fasteners, and other consumables) to support production schedules and work orders.
  • Prepare finished transformers and outbound shipments for delivery, including packaging, crating, labeling, and staging for freight carriers
  • Perform cycle counts and periodic physical inventories; assist in resolving inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing environment with a role in inventory or material
  • Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics365, NetSuite)
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, pick tickets, and basic bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Bonus points

  • Experience with electrical infrastructure manufacturing, with transformer experience strongly preferred
  • ASCM Warehouse Certificate a plus
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced manufacturing environment a plus
