Scope and Purpose:

  • To support and guide sales activities in all contractual matters
  • Define contracting strategy in alignment with Bid Team (deal shaping), agree with Management if applicable
  • Drive contracting process up to contract signature 
  • Perform contract Statement of Compliance (SoC) in tender/offer phase, contract drafting/preparation/updating and negotiating taking into consideration all internal guidelines
  • Support the execution team during implementation phase in high level escalations of disputes or contract changes
  • Manage risk exposure and mitigation list during contract negotiations and ensure contract handover to execution team
  • Resolution of contractual matters and contract development during the whole contract lifecycle
  • Provide regular reports and updates to reporting Manager on contract status and performance 

Key Tasks:

  • Actively Support sales in developing new Business Models and preparing bids if required
  • Lead tender management and create offerings
  • Drive the Sales Contract aspects within the Bid team to ensure that what is offered/sold is defined precisely in the customer contracts including annexes according to defined contracting strategy
  • Ensure that the G+D standard contract templates and guidelines are utilized to the extent possible to assure optimal contractual and commercial KPI’s
  • Information exchange to allow suitable e2e contract alignment internally
  • Participate in negotiations with the customer in order to challenge disadvantageous contractual terms. 
  • Align with global functions (Legal and Compliance) and subsidiaries in contractual matters
  • Give input for contractual risk assessment and maintain mitigation list during negotiation phase with inputs from Bid team
  • Ensure Sales contract handover to execution team
  • Ensure that the reports are updated accurately at all times to provide updates
  • Participate in any new Sales contract management tool enhancement (CLM)
  • Execution Phase:
    • Support Sales Contract changes, renegotiations and extensions with customer
    • Review Sales contractual Risk Management activities in alignment with execution team
    • Lead resolution of disputes, or support Legal and Compliance and Sales in dispute resolution
    • Drive Sales contract development (improvement) with the customer over contract life cycle 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Law and International Trade
  • Professional certification in Contract Management (e.g. CCCM, CPCM) preferred
  • Must have minimum 5+ years of experience as contract manager
  • Strong and lengthy experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating Sales contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of legal concepts
  • Profound commercial understanding with focus on exceptional client service
  • Good project management experience and skills (planning, reporting , processes)
  • Keen attention to detail, with ability to spot errors, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and customer-oriented behavior
  • Good knowledge of and interest in products/services and sales activities
  • Excellent team player with good soft skills for use in cross functional and international teams
  • Expertise in negotiation techniques, contract law, contract drafting, licensing
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work with challenging individuals/organizations
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Computer literacy and competency must be fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AI
  • Understanding of FIDIC form of contracts is an advantage
  • English & French fluent (and any other language welcome)
