The Digital Content Manager – Gibson Certified Vintage owns the day-to-day execution of GCV’s digital content ecosystem, with primary responsibility for photography, product listings, and supporting social and marketing initiatives. This role serves as the central driver of consistent, high-quality digital output across web and social channels, ensuring vintage instruments are presented accurately, clearly, and compellingly.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative with strong technical execution skills and an organized, ownership-driven mindset. This role balances content creation with coordination—moving listings from intake to live efficiently while collaborating with internal and external partners on broader marketing initiatives.

Essential Functions

Product Listings & Web Content

  • Own the end-to-end creation and management of Gibson Certified Vintage product listings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely execution.
  • Manage photography assets for listings, including capture, editing, sizing, and uploading across digital platforms.
  • Edit and refine product copy based on provided technical write-ups, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with GCV standards.
  • Manage CMS workflows related to listings and digital content.
  • Maintain consistent visual and content standards across approximately 10–15 listings per month.

Photography & Light Video Production

  • Serve as primary photographer for Gibson Certified Vintage, handling full capture, edit, and delivery of still imagery for web and social use.
  • Capture and edit light video content, including short-form social clips and product-focused reels (primarily iPhone-based capture).
  • Maintain organized archives of digital assets for ongoing use and reference.
  • Coordinate with internal or external video teams on larger or more polished video projects as needed, serving as the GCV point of contact.

Social Media & Digital Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Gibson Certified Vintage Manager on social media planning and execution.
  • Create and publish supporting social content tied to product releases, listings, and program initiatives.
  • Maintain a consistent visual and tonal presence across social channels.
  • Support basic engagement and content optimization efforts as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Gibson corporate Marketing and PR teams to align GCV content with broader initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support campaigns, launches, and special projects.
  • Engage external creative partners when required to support larger content initiatives.

Design & Program Support

  • Provide light design support as needed for program materials, including Certificates of Authenticity, Letters of Appraisal, and related assets.
  • Support continuous improvement of content workflows, documentation, and asset management practices.

Team Support (As Needed)

  • Collaborate with the GCV team to support day-to-day operations during peak periods or special initiatives.

  Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong photography skills, including capture, editing, and asset preparation for web and social platforms.
  • Comfortable producing light video content for social and digital use.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign, as well as Capture One, for image editing, asset preparation, and light design work.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple listings and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with high-value instruments and technical product information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while maintaining ownership of deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms and digital asset workflows.
  • Clear written communication skills for editing and refining product copy.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in digital content, photography, e-commerce, or related roles.
  • Experience working in product-driven or specialty retail environments preferred.
  • Background in music, instruments, or adjacent creative industries is a plus.

Essential Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of guitars, with an emphasis on vintage instruments, and a demonstrated desire to continue building product knowledge.
  • Ability to confidently identify core Gibson models and engage with internal teams about vintage guitars in a knowledgeable, professional manner.
  • Understanding of digital content workflows, from capture through publication.

Travel Requirements

  • This position is Nashville-based and primarily onsite.
  • Minimal travel may be required to support content or program needs.

Physical Demands

  • Primarily onsite in a retail, studio, and office environment.
  • Regular standing and walking required during photography, retail support, and content capture.
  • Frequent handling of guitars and related equipment; must be able to lift and carry items up to 40–50 lbs as needed.
  • Extended periods of computer-based work for editing, listing creation, and content management.
  • Ability to work in a loud retail environment for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule required, including occasional evenings and weekends to support content or program needs.
