Job Description
- Lead and direct pipe fitters, welders, riggers, fabricators, grinders, and helpers in executing daily piping activities.
- Assign daily work to the crew as instructed by the Piping Supervisor and monitor work progress.
- Supervise piping fabrication, fit-up, erection, installation, and alignment activities in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Verify that the correct materials, fittings, valves, and supports are available before commencing work.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all piping installations meet quality requirements and project standards.
- Ensure proper installation of pipe supports, valves, flanges, gaskets, and associated piping components.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and safe working practices.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all personnel use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel during inspections and ensure timely rectification of punch items and non-conformities.
- Assist in hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, reinstatement, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain a safe and organized work area.
Qualifications
- ITI / Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in piping construction.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Piping Foreman in Oil & Gas projects.
