About this role
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Collections & Asset Recovery to lead our collections function and own performance across delinquent accounts, debt recovery and equipment repossession.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in B2C collections and a deep understanding of how to manage delinquency from early-stage intervention through hard collections and asset recovery.
Responsibilities- Own the overall collections and recovery strategy and performance of the department.
- Manage and develop the collections team, set targets, distribute workload and ensure consistent execution.
- Own key KPIs including collection rate, delinquency levels and asset recovery.
- Build and continuously improve strategies for soft and hard collections.
- Define customer segmentation, contact cadence, escalation rules, payment plans and settlement policies.
- Review delinquent portfolios, prioritize high-risk cases and identify opportunities to improve recoveries.
- Manage equipment repossession and asset recovery, including internal processes and external partners.
- Manage relationships with third-party collection agencies and other recovery providers.
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Support, Analytics, and Marketing teams to implement changes.
- 5+ years of B2C collections / debt recovery experience, preferably in the United States, including significant experience managing delinquent customers.
- 3+ years in a collections leadership role with responsibility for a team and portfolio performance.
- Strong knowledge of soft collections, hard collections, settlements, payment plans, escalation and recovery strategies.
- Experience managing large delinquent portfolios using segmentation and data-driven prioritization.
- Strong understanding of collections KPIs and ability to identify the drivers behind changes in recovery performance.
- Experience with asset recovery or repossession is a major advantage.
- Experience working with third-party collection agencies, legal escalation or fraud/theft cases is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, leadership and decision-making skills.
- Fluent English (C1+).
- Russian language proficiency is a plus.
