Job Description

The Cyclotron Electrical Engineer is responsible for the electrical design, integration, installation, testing, and lifecycle support of cyclotron systems used in medical isotope production. The role focuses on electrical cabinet design, cable routing and interconnection, equipment integration, electrical documentation, system troubleshooting, and support of product development and manufacturing activities.

The engineer will work closely with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant cyclotron system delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in complex industrial equipment or scientific instruments.
  • Experience in electrical cabinet design, Electrical schematic design, Power distribution systems, Control cabinet design, Industrial electrical components, Cable and harness design and system integration, etc.
  • Experience supporting equipment manufacturing and installation.
  • Proven hands-on experience in electrical component localization, having personally led design development, validation, and design change activities across the full product lifecycle.
  • Proficient in English reading and writing, including technical documentation and email communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with particle accelerators or cyclotron systems.
  • Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Experience with PLC or industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with vacuum equipment and cooling systems.
  • Knowledge of safety interlock systems.
  • Familiarity with IEC60204-1 and electrical safety standards.
  • Experience with system commissioning and factory testing.
  • Understanding of radiation safety environments.
