Responsibilities / Tasks

The Front-Line Sales Engineer is responsible for driving profitable sales growth for separators, decanters and homogenizers, by developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and providing technically sound solutions for Separation and Flow Technology products. The role focuses on understanding customer process requirements, identifying opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful project execution in collaboration with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual order intake and sales targets.

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned industries and territories.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding the customer base.

  • Conduct regular customer visits and technical presentations.

  • Promote the complete portfolio of Separation and Flow Technology products and services.

  • Develop opportunities across greenfield, brownfield, maintenance, and capital projects.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Technical Sales

  • Analyze customer process requirements and recommend suitable engineering solutions for separators, homogenizers and decanters.,

  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations in accordance with company procedures.

  • Interpret customer specifications, datasheets, and process requirements.

  • Work closely with product specialists, engineering, and application teams to develop optimal solutions.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for customers.

  • Ensure quotations are technically compliant and commercially competitive.

Project & Order Management

  • Support the project handover process after order receipt.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and project management teams.

  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to customers.

  • Assist with resolving technical and commercial issues throughout project execution.

  • Support commissioning activities where required.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, OEMs, distributors, and end users.

  • Maintain accurate customer information within the CRM system.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts.

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and technical requests.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and after-sales support.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.

  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging industries.

  • Provide regular market feedback to management.

  • Support product launches and marketing initiatives.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Achieve Order Intake (OI), and Sales budgets.

  • Maintain target gross profit margins.

  • Ensure quotations comply with approved pricing policies.

  • Support debt collection where required.

  • Assist in sales forecasting and pipeline management.
