Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and Gates sales teams to collect data, perform analyses, and develop product assortment recommendations across all Gates product categories.
  • Manage analytical tools and methodologies to deliver recommendations that drive sales growth and improve inventory performance.
  • Maintain core Category Management datasets that support customer analytics, reporting, and KPI tracking.Support internal and external reporting related to Category Management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales and IT teams to maintain and improve self-service Category Management tools.
  • Conduct market and third-party data research to enhance Category Management strategies and methodologies.
  • Coordinate customer Point of Sale (POS) data collection and maintain the POS Master Database for special programs.
  • Support senior analysts with customer reviews and analysis across the United States, Canada, and Europe as needed.
  • Partner with Product Management and Cataloging teams to ensure data accuracy and availability for Category Management processes.
  • Assist global expansion efforts by providing data analysis, market intelligence, and workflow support for new regions.
  • Contribute to achieving Category Management sales objectives and driving program success within the Mexico region.
  • Serve as a trusted analytics lead for the Mexico Category Management program, operating with minimal supervision.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst using analytical tools such as Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms. Alteryx experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with automotive data standards and catalog systems, including ACES, PIES, TechDoc, or similar, preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering value and service excellence.
  • Ability to adopt and integrate new technologies, tools, and business concepts to improve processes and results.
  • Demonstrates continuous learning and stays informed on emerging trends and industry developments.
  • Ensures customer needs are addressed in alignment with organizational strategies and objectives.
