Typical Accountabilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end supply chain planning and supply management activities across designated business areas, markets, or supplier relationships.
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical supply plans which optimise performance, reduce costs, and minimise risks in line with business objectives.
- Act as the primary contact and point of escalation for supply chain operational issues, proactively managing resolution and communicating with stakeholders.
- Partner with marketing companies, sites, global supply teams, finance, and external suppliers to ensure robust, secure, and continuous product supply.
- Analyze supply chain data rigorously to generate actionable insights, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure quality and consistency of business outputs.
- Lead and coordinate multifunctional teams (including procurement, quality assurance, planning, and project management) to deliver supply robustness and continuous value improvement.
- Oversee establishment and management of new product supply chains, including supply chain design, capability assessment, and supplier selection.
- Govern commercial aspects of supply planning, ensuring sourcing costs and supplier relationships continuously meet evolving business needs.
- Support and develop category plans, providing input regarding products, assets, projects, and supplier capabilities.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators and balanced scorecard metrics, highlighting exceptions and recommending corrective action as needed.
- Ensure best practices and a standardized approach to supply planning and supplier management, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders globally for consistency and performance improvement.
- Consistently enable the application of lean approaches to identify and tap avenues for improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes
- Anticipate critical risks and barriers to sustainability based on analysis of data and identifies/ drives proactive cross-area process interventions.
- Lead successful adoption of digital tools and best practices through ongoing learning and structured approaches.
- Navigate changing business priorities and deals with setbacks well, making informed decisions that drive the right outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential: Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline; Extensive experience in supply chain and supplier management; Strong knowledge of supply chain planning techniques; Proven ability to analyze complex data, develop insights, and drive process improvements; Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable: Experience managing or coaching teams; Experience leading and managing projects within supply chain or related environments; Experience in process re-engineering and implementation of improvement initiatives.
