About the role
As a Junior Financial Controller at Consilium Safety Netherlands, you will take ownership of the accounts receivable process while supporting a broad range of financial controlling activities.
This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to help shape the role as you develop. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and the wider organization, gaining exposure to areas such as project controlling, month-end closing, intercompany transactions, and financial and sustainability reporting.
As your knowledge and experience grow, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of additional controlling activities.
What you will do
· Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, payment follow-up, credit and collections activities, and aged receivables reporting.
· Actively communicate with customers to resolve disputed invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
· Work together with the Finance Manager to develop project controlling reporting, with the opportunity to take ownership of this area over time.
· Regularly update project controlling reports and provide clear overviews of project status and required actions.
· Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations, including monthly recharges to the Group.
· Process credit card transactions and bank statements in Microsoft Dynamics.
· Maintain lease car administration and prepare related financial and sustainability reporting.
· Support the finance team with month-end closing activities.
· Participate in finance improvement projects and help further develop our processes and reporting.

Ideally, you have:
· At least an MBO diploma in Finance or a related field, combined with the ambition to continue developing professionally.
· 2–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.
· A good command of English; fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred.
· Strong communication skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
· A proactive and hands-on attitude with an eye for accuracy and detail.
· Experience in credit and collections is an advantage but not a requirement.
