Bureau Veritas Southeast Asia is looking for a Strategic Market Intelligence Analyst to support our growth across priority sectors including Energy, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Energy Transition, Building & Infrastructure, Industrial Projects and Certification.

This role is responsible for translating market, competitor, customer and project intelligence into actionable business insights. The successful candidate will help BV understand where market opportunities are emerging, where competitors are moving, which customers and projects matter, and how our Marketing, Sales, and Product Line teams should respond.

The role requires more than desk research. We are looking for someone who understands Southeast Asian sector dynamics, can work confidently with business stakeholders, and can turn complex information into clear recommendations that support growth decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor market trends, investment activity, regulatory changes, technology shifts and sector growth drivers across Southeast Asia.
• Identify addressable and accessible TIC opportunities across Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Industrial, Certification and other BV-relevant markets.
• Track customers, competitors, project pipelines, contract awards and strategic market developments.
• Produce sector insights, country analysis, competitor profiles, key account intelligence, project briefs and executive-ready presentations.
• Translate research findings into clear business implications, recommendations and next steps.
• Support strategic marketing campaigns, trade shows, account-based marketing and sales enablement with market-backed insight.
• Use subscribed databases, public sources, internal data, stakeholder inputs and approved AI tools to develop robust, evidence-based analysis.
• Maintain a structured intelligence repository with clear sources, assumptions and reusable outputs.
• Participate in selected conferences, exhibitions and industry events to gather intelligence and strengthen market understanding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Market Research, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in market intelligence, business intelligence, strategy, consulting, research, business development or sector analysis.
• Strong understanding of Southeast Asian markets and at least TWO BV-relevant sectors such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Power, Renewables, Infrastructure, Industrial Projects, TIC, Certification, ESG or Sustainability.
• Ability to analyse market data, competitor activity, project pipelines and customer developments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports and executive-level presentations.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI, Salesforce, data visualisation tools, paid databases or AI-enabled research tools is an advantage.
• Able to work across countries, cultures and stakeholder groups.
• Commercially curious, structured, proactive and comfortable turning data into recommended action.
• Willing to travel when required.
