Job Summary:

- Fostering a culture of staff engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement within the technician team.
- Leading the development and ongoing refinement of a dedicated specialty pharmacy technician staffing model, including workflow design, scheduling, and operational infrastructure specific to specialty pharmacy.
- o More specifically, this consists of overseeing specialty-specific technician workflows including patient enrollment and intake, inbound and outbound phone support, and order management.
- o Serving as the internal subject matter expert on URAC and ACHC accreditation standards related to technician roles and patient management call workflows, and leading associated reporting and compliance efforts.
- Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing specialty pharmacy technicians to support a growing and evolving team.
- Managing day-to-day HR functions for the specialty technician team, including performance evaluations, productivity monitoring, competency review, and corrective action processes as needed.
- Collaborating closely with the pharmacy leadership team to identify opportunities to align workflows, standardize processes, improve communication, and advance shared departmental goals while maintaining a focused specialty pharmacy lens.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of three years of work experience in health care required. Leadership experience preferred. Quality improvement, process improvement, team building, and problem solving experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field, or an approved education plan to achieve a bachelor's degree within four years of hire/transfer date. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
