Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment (e.g., Milling, Turning, Grinding) according to work instructions.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Select and install the appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
  • Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform minor machine adjustments and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and report equipment abnormalities to the supervisor.
  • Ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved while minimizing scrap and downtime.
  • Maintain proper documentation, including production records and inspection reports.
  • Comply with company safety policies, 5S practices, and quality management system requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1–3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates with relevant technical training are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, or conventional machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and height gauges.
  • Basic understanding of cutting tools, tooling selection, feeds, and speeds.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to work on shifts and overtime when required.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward continuous learning.
