Fred Astaire Dance Studios – Paradise Valley is looking for a professional, organized, and personable Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our dance studio.
The Administrative Assistant plays an important role in creating an exceptional experience for our students and guests. This position combines administrative responsibilities with customer service and requires someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Welcome students and guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner
Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally
Schedule and coordinate private dance lessons, group classes, appointments, and studio events
Maintain accurate student records, schedules, and administrative information
Assist with student enrollment, payments, packages, and account updates
Communicate with current and prospective students regarding lessons, events, and studio activities
Follow up with prospective students and existing clients as needed
Support studio promotions, showcases, competitions, and special events
Coordinate communication between students, instructors, and studio management
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and studio environment
Process transactions and maintain accurate administrative records
Assist with daily studio opening and closing procedures
Support management and instructors with administrative and organizational tasks
Help ensure studio policies and procedures are followed
* Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented studio culture
Previous experience in administrative, front-desk, customer service, hospitality, or a similar role preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a busy environment
Professional, friendly, and confident personality
Strong customer service skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with people
Comfortable using computers, email, scheduling software, and basic office applications
Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexible availability, including evenings and occasional weekends
* Previous dance experience is not required; an interest in ballroom dancing is a plus
