RV Service Technician

We're looking for an experienced technician, mechanic, or skilled tradesperson to join our Bedford service team. You'll work on a wide variety of RVs and systems, using your existing technical skills while developing new ones through training and hands-on experience.
You don't need previous RV experience to succeed in this role. Experience in automotive, electrical, plumbing, marine, trailer, or other skilled trades is valuable here.
As part of our commitment to supporting our technicians, Fraserway RV will provide new service technicians with up to $2,000 in tools when they join our Halifax team. It's our way of helping you get started and giving you the tools you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain RVs across a wide range of systems. Your work may include:
- Diagnosing and repairing 12V and 120V electrical systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing systems
- Diagnosing and repairing appliances, furnaces, water heaters, and refrigerators
- Working with propane systems
- Performing maintenance, inspections, and general RV repairs
- Identifying problems and determining the appropriate repair
- Completing work orders and documenting repairs clearly
- Working with Service Advisors and other technicians to keep repairs moving
- Communicating with customers when technical information or completed work needs to be explained
You'll Be Successful In This Role If You Have:
- Previous experience as a technician, mechanic, or skilled tradesperson
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or other technical systems
- The ability to diagnose problems and determine practical solutions
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- A valid driver's license
- A willingness to learn new systems and expand your technical skills
Red Seal certification is an asset, but not required.
Experience in RVs, automotive, trailers, marine, electrical, plumbing, or other skilled trades is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
This is a hands-on position that involves:
- Working both indoors and outdoors
- Standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working Saturdays as required
- Overtime during peak season as required
