Role Overview

The Workspace Technology Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing end-user workspace technologies across the organisation. This role requires strong hands-on experience in endpoint management, particularly in JAMF and SCCM, alongside day-to-day operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint & Device Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of end-user devices, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning
  • Administer and maintain endpoint management platforms, primarily JAMF and SCCM
  • Perform software packaging, deployment, and patch management across enterprise environments
  • Troubleshoot complex endpoint and device-related issues
  • Workspace & Collaboration Technologies
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Support virtual desktop and remote access solutions such as AVD or VDI where applicable
  • Enhance collaboration tools to improve user productivity and experience

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain endpoint security controls such as BitLocker, Microsoft Defender, and compliance policies
  • Support identity and access management using Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, and Conditional Access
  • Ensure compliance with internal security, audit, and regulatory requirements

User Support & Operations

  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for workspace-related incidents and service requests
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues
  • Collaborate with Service Desk and infrastructure teams to improve support efficiency

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
  • Participate in system improvements, pilots, and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimisation to enhance user experience and system stability

Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory)

  • Strong hands-on administration experience in JAMF Admin Console
  • Must be experienced in configuring policies, managing devices, and troubleshooting issues, not limited to read-only access
  • Strong hands-on administration experience in SCCM Admin Console
  • Must have experience in software packaging, deployments, patch management, and troubleshooting, not limited to monitoring or read-only access
  • Strong experience with Windows 11 and enterprise endpoint environments
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes
  • Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Workspace or End-User Computing roles within enterprise environments

Good to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Intune
  • Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or VDI environments
  • Experience with AWS Workspace or AWS Admin Console
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments
  • Microsoft certifications related to Modern Workplace or Endpoint Management
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools
