G21 - UX Designer

About this role

About the Role

The role involves improving existing screens and workflows, preparing wireframes, refining UX copy, documenting design decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will be the sole designer embedded in a cross-functional team of around 25 people, working alongside product managers, engineers, business analysts, and agency stakeholders. While a Design Lead is available for guidance and design reviews, they are not embedded in the project full-time, so you will need to manage day-to-day design decisions with some independence.

The person does not need to come in with all the answers, but should be able to understand the product, ask good questions, and support delivery in a practical way.

Responsibilities

  • Improve existing OSG and OSG 2.0 screens and workflows, including forms, tables, dashboards, admin screens, status pages, and workflow pages.
  • Translate product requirements and operational needs into clear wireframes, user flows, prototypes, UX copy, and design notes.
  • Support ApplySG migration by mapping existing OSG workflows, identifying UX gaps, and adapting selected journeys where needed.
  • Work with product, engineering, business analysts, Design Lead, and agency stakeholders to clarify requirements, behaviours, constraints, and edge cases.
  • Support design reviews and implementation checks to ensure designs are clear, consistent, and practical to build.
  • Use AI tools responsibly and practically to support design exploration, prototyping, documentation, UX copy, and workflow understanding.

Requirement

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in UX design, product design, service design, interaction design, or related fi elds.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
  • Good understanding of UX fundamentals, information architecture, interaction design, usability, and accessibility.
  • Able to create clear wireframes, prototypes, user flows, UX copy, and design documentation.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, product constraints, and cross-functional teams.
  • Able to manage assigned design tasks with some independence.
  • Open to learning and using AI tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools.
