About this role

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Manager with for our Municipal Services Department in Wall, NJ 

Responsibilities

    Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, and capital improvement programs 

    Serve as Project Manager responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and overall project delivery 

    Prepare, review, and oversee engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations 

    Oversee the development of plans, profiles, and construction details using design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D 

    Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants, to ensure successful project execution 

    Act as primary point of contact for municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers 

    Lead client meetings, public presentations, and coordination meetings with stakeholders 

    Oversee review of shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals during construction administration 

    Provide senior-level construction support, including field visits and resolution of technical issues 

    Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates 

    Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements 

    Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineering staff, fostering professional development and technical growth 

    Support business development efforts and contribute to proposal preparation as needed 

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 

    Minimum of 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering or public infrastructure design and delivery 

    Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required 

    Proven experience managing municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction 

    Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite 

    Strong knowledge of municipal design standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements 

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and public agencies 

    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously 

    Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering staff 

    Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $155,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
