Overview
The Machine Operator will work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the operator’s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment. Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.
What you will do
- Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.
- Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.
- Use mallet to loosen doors. Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging. Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.
- Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails/assist .
- Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.
- LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours is required.
Preferred QualificationsWhat you will need
- Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Work on a computer
- Use a Tape Measure, Caliper
- Use hand and power tools
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals (Exceptional math abilities are a must.)
- Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions
- Ability to do small repairs on doors
