Human Resources Business Partner, Multi-Site
About this role
DESCRIPTION:
The HRBP partners closely with management to strengthen organizational and talent capabilities, while shaping and implementing effective HR strategies and programs. This role serves as the primary day-to-day, employee-facing contact for HR support and oversees orientation management for all new hires across the Arizona facilities.
The role holder maintains an effective level of business literacy about the Arizona facilities’ operational capabilities, performance, and culture, and plays a key role in achieving the vision, mission, goals, and results of the organization
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supports and helps to implement HR initiatives that drive business objectives.
- Serves as the primary employee-facing HR contact for day-to-day inquiries, support, and issue resolution.
- Participation in new hire orientation programs for the Arizona sites.
- Partners with the Arizona HR team and FMI HR colleagues to ensure professional execution of HR programs and practices.
- Provides HR guidance related to policies, procedures and compliance.
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employee and managers.
- Supports workforce planning, site restructuring activities, and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs and coordinates learning programs.
- Performance additional related duties as assigned.
- Comply with all environmental, health and safety laws and regulations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of HR experience, working in a business partnership environment.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, resourcing, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Practitioner level experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Experience supporting or collaborating in project teams, with a change management focus.
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced PC Skills (Windows, Word, Outlook, Excel, PPT).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively independently or in teams.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
- Professional HR certifications are helpful but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Local travel between FM Plants will be required.
- Occasionally walking plant floor.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:
- High noise levels from operating machines.
- The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent exposure to hazardous materials commonly used in a manufacturing environment (i.e., safety glasses and shoes, gloves, ear plugs/covers, mask, cleanroom suit).
- Low noise levels in office environment.
- Possible breathing of fumes, odors, dust, and mist.
