Manufacturing Engineer

Summary:
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes that are safe, efficient, and stable in terms of safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Apply continuous improvement methodologies and comply with established procedures and standards to ensure sustained plant operation and customer requirement satisfaction.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in painting manufacturing proceses (e-coat, top-coat, powder preferably).

Fluent in written and spoken English (conversational).

Core Tools Management: PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC.

Proficiency in continuous improvement tools: Lean Manufacturing, SMED, Poka Yokes, Red Rabbits, Kaizen.

Proficient in HC and Capacity Management: Time and motion analysis, installed capacity, line balancing, and material flow.

Project management and process validations: Run at Rate, CpK, Pp

CAD/CAM interpretation and AutoCAD skills.

Experience in the designing, developing, validation, and management of the manufacturing of WIP racks.

Familiar with requirements of •Audits and Quality, Environmental, Safety, Ergonomics Standards (e.g., ISO, IATF, CSR, LPA, CQIs, etc.).

Key responsabilities:

Design and improve workstations (layout updates) to achieve efficient and safe production methods that ensure products conform to technical specifications and meet customer requirements (R&R and Critical Characteristics).

Participate in the validation of equipment safety systems.

Implement any changes to the manufacturing and packaging process (official and alternate).

Create and update manufacturing documentation: Standard Operation Sheets, Flowcharts, PFMEA, rework/reprocessing instructions, Parameter Sheets, and Engineering Alerts

Develop, validate, and keep documentation and error-proofing devices (pokayokes, Red Rabbits) up to date

Co-responsible with the Project Engineer for the Run and Rate process (internal/with the customer)

Participate in ergonomics studies and follow up on corrective actions.

Actively participate in launch projects (design reviews), engineering changes (ECN), and layout updates to validate their impact

Verify that processes comply with the defined productivity standard (speed, resources, and number of operators required)

Keep capacity-vs-demand and current efficiency (GAP) studies up to date.

Execute time and motion studies, bottleneck analysis, and installed capacity assessments.

Support the development and validation of original or alternate packaging (if applicable) and fleet size definition.

Analyze and solve problems related to process efficiency and quality defects defined in the FMEA using the 8D methodology.
