About the role:
This role conducts assessments and periodic reviews of FIS products, services and business activities to validate compliance with applicable laws and regulations or detect regulatory violations, weak controls or other potential areas of exposure.
What you will be doing:
Maintains knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
As part of Corporate Compliance within the 2nd Line of Defense, conducts assessments and periodic reviews of FIS products, services and business activities to validate compliance with applicable laws and regulations or detect regulatory violations, weak controls or other potential areas of exposure.
Independently develops and maintains materials for design of control and transactional level testing.
Hosts meetings with lines of business, corporate compliance, and subject matter experts on behalf of the Compliance Testing team.
Drafts reports detailing testing results for senior leadership, line of businesses, and key stakeholders.
Cites and manages compliance related issues and coordinates with the line of business to develop and complete remediation plans; validates completion of remediation.
Identifies areas of potential improvement.
Provides updates for periodic reports.
Conducts periodic quality assurance and independent reviews.
Other related duties assigned, as needed.
What you will need:
You must have a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable Compliance Testing or Quality Assurance experience to be successful in this role.
Comprehensive knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance, such as banking regulations, anti-money laundering, or artificial intelligence.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with confidential issues that are sensitive in nature.
Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
