As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Lender who is passionate about developing new business relationships while providing sound credit solutions to existing customers.

Position Summary

The Commercial Lender is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and commercial real estate relationships. This position will focus heavily on business development while maintaining high credit quality through thoughtful underwriting and ongoing portfolio management.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop new commercial and agricultural lending relationships through proactive business development.
Structure commercial loan opportunities that meet customer needs while maintaining appropriate risk standards.
Perform financial analysis and underwrite commercial credit requests.
Present loan requests and recommendations to the appropriate approval authority.
Monitor portfolio performance and identify developing credit concerns.
Cross-sell treasury management, deposit, and other banking services.
Represent the bank within the community through civic organizations, networking events, and professional associations.
Maintain a high level of customer service by providing timely responses and local decision-making.
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and local market conditions.
Conduct all duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications

Five or more years of commercial lending experience preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing new commercial business relationships.
Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
Experience with commercial real estate, owner-occupied real estate, agricultural lending, and C&I lending is preferred.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the credit and operations teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent banking experience).
