H.E. Neumann & Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Residential HVAC Installer Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance a career in the HVAC industry. Working alongside experienced Lead Installers, you will assist with the installation of residential heating and cooling systems while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Installers with the installation and replacement of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality products.
  • Load, unload, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
  • Remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with installing ductwork, line sets, condensate drains, venting, thermostats, and other HVAC components under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Properly use and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and manufacturer installation specifications.
  • Provide courteous and professional service while working in customers' homes.
  • Learn HVAC installation techniques and industry best practices from experienced installers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the installation team.

Qualifications

  • Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and develop a career in the HVAC trade.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • EPA Certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
