Summary

Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Director, the Strategic Sourcing Coordinator will be focused on supporting key sourcing activities across all categories (ingredients/commodities). This role requires strong collaboration and the ability to create sustainable partnerships with internal customers and suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and taking the lead to account for all ingredient samples brought in for testing
  • Update purchasing parameters in SAP, as required, at the request of the Raw Materials Planning team or the Sourcing team (LT, MOQ)
  • Support the Supplier Audit team by initiating communication with the suppliers when audits need to be scheduled
  • Manage regular (monthly/weekly) pricing updates as directed by the Sourcing groups  
  • Prepare Supplier Performance Scorecards, distribute and coordinate respective actions derived  
  • Support QA with NCRs and Expired Documents follow ups 
  • Review invoices and statements for accuracy  
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience managing the pipeline of ingredients, packaging, MRO and commodities from producer to end-user
  • Good understanding of supply chain and logistics within the agricultural commodity trading business
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis
  • Prior work experience related to futures and options trading/hedging is preferred
  • Minimum two years of Sourcing or Procurement experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel level
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems preferable
  • Knowledge with demand forecasting and planning principles is considered an asset
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  • Excellent time and project management skill
