End: 1/3/2027
Hours are typically 14:00 – 23:30 plus meetings and reporting work.
Working onsite for the install, event run, and strike.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The LIGHTING TECHNICIANS report to the Technical Manager and Event Manager, and will work to maintain many of the technical elements of the event. These elements will include a large LED rig, multiple moving light locations, show set electrics, effects machines and other generic units, running off a multiple GrandMA control system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Power on and off over the whole site
- Focus checks and re lamp and color as required
● Ensure all lighting equipment is in working order and carry out tests
● General maintenance
● Report back to the Technical Supervisor if there are any issues.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous lighting experience, ideally on large outdoor festivals, Illumination trails or outdoor experiential events.
- Good knowledge of LED and basic electronics understanding
- Good understanding of show control systems, ie. OSC, Timecode
- Technical knowledge and lighting skills
● GrandMA3 based control knowledge - Manual dexterity and a good level of physical fitness
● The ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
● Time management and organizational skills
● Attention to detail
● Problem-solving ability
● Current First-Aid certification is a plus. - Visa/permits - The candidate must be able to work in the event country and achieve one of the
following: (1) Already a citizen/resident in the country and is permitted to work. (2) Already in possession of a work visa/permit.
