Summary of Position: Are you pursuing a career in the biology field? If so, becoming a lab assistant could be your opportunity to gain further knowledge and experience within this field.  
Position Requirements: Minimum qualifications include high school chemistry course, high school biology course, and demonstrated competence in math, viz. calculating concentrations, dilutions, and percentages
Preferred qualifications include college level microbiology course, e.g. FSU BIOL 108, 218, 286, or 386
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare microbiological media, stains, and test reagents
Remove materials for microbiology laboratory exercises
Clean microscopes and glassware
Process and correctly dispose of laboratory waste
