Function in the Job

Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

  • Package finished material according to customer specifications and package codes
  • Safely move material to packaging areas using conveyors, cranes, or other equipment Inspect material for proper packaging requirements and visible quality issues before packaging
  • Assist with blocking, wrapping, and banding of material to ensure secure and compliant packaging
  • Use gantry crane and lifting equipment when required for packaging operations
  • Coordinate with crane operators to move material in and out of packaging areas
  • Maintain packaging line organization by keeping areas clear of unnecessary equipment and materials
  • Monitor packaged material to ensure it meets customer and company quality standards
  • Identify and report any quality defects or nonconforming material
  • Follow all safety procedures when handling material and operating equipment
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment as required and report unsafe conditions
  • Complete assigned tasks while maintaining efficiency and production flow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing scrap, bands, boards, and waste
  • Handle tools and equipment properly and store them safely after us

Warehouse/Field setting; minimal temperature environment

  • Ability to safely operate or assist with cranes and material handling equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
