Job Summary

From our Chicago headquarters, we operate a network of 11 steel processing centers throughout the U.S. and Mexico that provide value-added processing of hot rolled, pickled, cold rolled and coated sheet products to manufacturers and producers.

 

 

 As a maintenance tech you will play a key role in keeping our end users satisfied with a demanding product. You will play an important part in achieving production goals by utilizing your skills to maintenance Feralloy’s equipment. Feralloy appreciated you and your hard work and together we will change the industry. Overtime will be required to keep up with customer demands.

 

 

Ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining equipment correctly and looking for knowledge. Steel experience is a positive.

Function in the Job

Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Rig machinery for installation & removal.
  • Installs & repairs electrical apparatus such as transformers & wiring.
  • Maintains pipe / hydraulic and pneumatic lines, repairs & replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Work during production outages on time-sensitive tasks.

 

Environment

Warehouse/Field setting; minimal temperature environment

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment correctly

  • Ability to read blueprints (willing to train)
