Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate

Fenwick & West is seeking junior and mid-level patent litigation associates to join our high tech and life sciences practices across multiple offices. You’ll be part of a nationally recognized team that represents patent holders and alleged infringers in federal courts and in parallel post-grant proceedings, helping clients range from startups to established industry leaders. This role offers exposure to diverse technologies and the chance to impact outcomes for innovative clients.
What youll do
- Assist on patent litigation matters in high tech and life sciences across federal courts and post-grant proceedings.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and analyze patent claims.
- Support discovery, document management, and coordination with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Contribute to trial preparation and case strategy with the team across multiple offices.
What Fenwick & West is looking for
- 2+ years of patent litigation experience.
- Background in high tech or life sciences industries (degree or industry experience).
- Bar admission in the state of the office applied for, or eligibility to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
- Strong academic credentials from a top law school with a high GPA.
- Experience representing patent holders and alleged infringers.
