Corporate M&A Mid-Level Associate

Fenwick & West’s corporate group supports technology and life sciences clients through all stages of M&A, from startups to global leaders. We have a premier technology M&A practice and a strong track record of high-impact transactions. We’re seeking a mid‑level associate with substantial M&A experience for our Bay Area, Seattle, Santa Monica, New York or Boston offices; ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in M&A at a leading corporate firm. Active Bar membership in the working jurisdiction or eligible to waive into the bar is required. We prioritize San Francisco, Silicon Valley and NYC, but are open to Seattle, Santa Monica, DC and Boston.

What youll do

• Help execute complex M&A transactions for technology and life sciences clients from strategy through closing.
• Lead portions of deals autonomously, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
• Manage due diligence and coordinate cross-functional deal teams, clients and advisers.
• Contribute to deal strategy and provide high-quality client service across multiple deals.

What Fenwick & West is looking for

• 3–5 years of M&A experience at a leading corporate firm.
• Strong deal sheet with complex M&A transactions.
• Experience leading parts of deals autonomously.
• Experience with, or affinity for, technology and/or life sciences companies.
• Strong academic credentials from a leading law school.
• Active Bar member in the working jurisdiction or eligible to waive in.
