Position Overview: Yard Utility Operator As a Yard Utility Operator, you will provide general assistance wherever needed in the production area while ensuring the safety of yourself and those around you. This role involves operating various types of equipment and maintaining the cleanliness, efficiency and safety of the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift and other salvage yard equipment.
• Parts Removal: Will assist our parts pulling operation and remove numerous types of automotive parts from salvage vehicles within the yard.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness through sweeping designated areas, emptying and sorting core bins, processing metals, packaging and weighing core batteries, and removing Freon from scrap refrigeration units.
• Customer Requests: Respond to various types of customer requests efficiently.

Requirements:

• Experience: Experience with forklift and small equipment operation, heavy equipment operating, general maintenance, and understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Working Conditions: Must be comfortable working outside, in all weather conditions.
• Skills: Basic computer skills, automotive parts experience preferred.
