Program Description

The Felton Training, Research, and Program Evaluation team develops, implements, and coordinates training activities for Felton Institute employees and external stakeholders. It also produces program evaluations and impact assessments of Felton programs and contracted agencies. Additionally, the Division provides Peer Support Specialist training and technical assistance for behavioral health and social services community partners in California and other states.

 

Job Description

The Instructional Support Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the administrative aspects of a variety of instructional programs. This role ensures effective administration by organizing course materials, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with Staff in course management and evaluations to drive continuous improvement in learning and development.

 

Specific Duties / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and ensure the ongoing successful operation of instructional programs, including a combination of instructional support and administrative activities.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update a variety of statistical reports, forms, surveys, and materials in assigned programs.
  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying and researching training, learning, and development needs and solutions.
  • Maintain training materials, including session plans, manuals, guidelines, handouts, and e-learning courses, while collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure high quality.
  • Prepare briefs for Trainers and Directors as required.
  • Undertake project work as needed.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree. Concentrating in Education, Social Services, or Instruction is strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience may substitute for education.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate creatively, clearly, and effectively, both orally and in writing. 
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a heavy workload in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
  • Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts regarding matters of a complex nature and to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to research various topics through web and library searches, interviews, and other methods, and to translate the knowledge into written collateral.
  • Intermediate knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Design Suite, Survey Monkey, Monday.com, Learning Registration, and Management systems).

Reports to: Director of Development

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Hybrid – In Office 4 days per week

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary - $76,000 Annually
