As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Benefits Analyst who is passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience while helping us manage and optimize our self-funded benefit programs. As our Benefits Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring our employees and their families receive exceptional support while helping Felix make data-driven decisions about our benefits strategy. You'll serve as the subject matter expert for employee benefits administration, leave management, compliance, and benefits analytics, with a strong focus on our self-funded medical plans.

\nWhat You'll Do

Benefits Administration & Employee Support

  • Administer health, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, claims issues, and coverage questions.
  • Partner with new hires during onboarding and support employees through annual Open Enrollment.
  • Develop clear, engaging employee communications and educational materials.

Self-Funded Plan Analysis & Strategy

  • Analyze medical and prescription claims data, utilization trends, and cost drivers.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership regarding plan performance and cost-containment opportunities.
  • Support annual benefits strategy discussions, benchmarking efforts, and plan design evaluations.
  • Monitor preventative care utilization and other key health plan performance indicators.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for TPAs, brokers, stop-loss carriers, and benefit vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and service levels.
  • Coordinate eligibility, claims administration, invoicing, and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with vendor negotiations and renewal processes.

Compliance & Leave Administration

  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate annual audits, Form 5500 filings, and compliance testing.
  • Manage employee leave requests, disability claims, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
  • Partner with leaders and employees to navigate complex leave and accommodation situations.

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee eligibility and enrollment data.
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate deductions and vendor payments.
  • Track and report on key metrics related to benefits costs, employee utilization, compliance, and service levels.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, total rewards, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience administering employer-sponsored health and welfare plans.
  • Experience with leave administration including FMLA, ADA, and disability programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Excellent communication and employee service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with self-funded medical plans.
  • Experience analyzing claims data and healthcare utilization trends.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CBP, CEBS, or related certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
