Clearance & Brokerage Training Specialist

What You Will Do

As a Clearance & Brokerage Training Specialist, you will strengthen the technical capability and operational readiness of Clearance & Brokerage teams by developing and delivering effective learning solutions. You will work closely with Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills to deliver compliant, efficient, and customer-focused customs clearance services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Training & Capability Development – Design and deliver onboarding, technical, compliance, refresher, and role-specific training programs for Clearance & Brokerage employees.
  • Training Needs & Performance Analysis – Identify capability gaps by analysing operational performance, quality trends, process changes, compliance requirements, and business needs.
  • Learning Content Development – Develop and maintain training materials, facilitator guides, e-learning content, job aids, assessments, and knowledge resources.
  • Technical & Subject Matter Expertise – Serve as a subject matter expert on Clearance & Brokerage processes, customs regulations, import/export requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Training Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement – Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, coaching observations, operational metrics, and stakeholder feedback, and continuously improve training solutions.
  • Change & Implementation Support – Support new process implementations, system enhancements, business transformation, and operational changes through structured training, communication, and knowledge transfer.
  • Stakeholder Partnership – Partner with Operations leaders, Quality, Compliance, regional teams, and other stakeholders to align learning solutions with operational, business, and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence – Promote adherence to FedEx policies, customs regulations, and industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous learning, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Customs Clearance, Brokerage Operations, Trade Compliance, Logistics, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, brokerage operations, import/export processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating instructor-led, virtual, or blended learning programs.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess capability gaps and translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, operational transformation, system implementation, or change management initiatives is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with e-learning or digital learning tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across functions in a fast-paced, operational environment.
