Perform most mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical assembly operations. Read and understand assembly drawings, adhere to customer specifications, and assist in the test and final adjustments of the machine. Fit and align all components on a machine, follow and adhere to all Brenton/Orion quality and assembly standards. Must be able to be forklift certified.

Pro Mach's Brenton division is seeking a mechanical assembler to contribute to the success of the company by providing assembly support for Orion's products. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor, is based in our Alexandria, MN facility and is for our first shift.

Brenton, based in Alexandria, MN, is a leading manufacturer of case packers, palletizers, shrink-wrapping machines and complete End of Line packaging systems for the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods markets. Brenton is a division of Pro Mach, a leading provider of integrated packaging and processing solutions for over 20,000 customers worldwide. Are you motivated about this work?

  • Perform most mechanical, pneumatic, and some electrical assembly operations.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings, adhere to customer specifications, and assist in the test and final adjustments of the machine.
  • Fit and align all components on a machine, follow and adhere to all Brenton/Orion quality and assembly standards.
  • Must be able to be forklift certified.
  • Mechanical installation includes: lube lines, cams, align and adjust gearboxes and drive lines, motors, chain, sprockets, etc.
  • Assist customer personnel in the installation, start-up and training of Orion machines and systems.

  • 2-year technical college degree with 2-4 years of Mechanical Assembly experience preferred.
  • Excellent Mechanical / Electrical capability or capacity to learn.
  • Solid mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Potential to be a motivator / leader.
  • Professional communication, attitude and image.
  • Educator - good verbal and written presentation, organized, good planner, good interpersonal skills.
