PDF Seal a division of Promach is looking for a Machine Mechanic for their Hauppauge location. The Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of machinery and mechanical equipment. Their job involves diagnosing issues, replacing defective parts, and ensuring that machines operate efficiently and safely.
PDF Seal a division of Promach is looking for a Machine Mechanic for their Hauppauge location. The Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of machinery and mechanical equipment i.e Die Cutting machine and Flexographic printer. Their job involves diagnosing issues, replacing defective parts, and ensuring that machines operate efficiently and safely.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Use tools and equipment such as wrenches, calipers, and diagnostic machines. –Hand Taps, Multimeter
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Test and calibrate machines to ensure proper functionality.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols.
- Keep maintenance records and document repair work.
- Conduct electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and production team to address machine breakdowns efficiently.
- Respond to production emergency calls for breakdown maintenance, assess severity, and communicate timeline estimates to supervisors ( Production )
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Experience in machine maintenance and repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
- Attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
- Excellent communication, and organizational skills.
