Accounts Payable Specialist
About this role
JOB OVERVIEW
Employee will perform general accounts payable functions, including coding, vouchering and processing payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process invoices for payment for several subsidiary companies of National Beverage Corp. Match quantity received to quantity invoiced. Ensure a bill of lading has been entered by the plant -- generating a receiving document.
2. Check price invoiced by item to the agreed upon contract price to ensure that invoice is correct.
3. Voucher check requests using proper GL code. Maintain vendor files.
4. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been paid. Follow due date requirements on all invoices.
5. Update vendor/plant listings. Perform general A/P duties.
6. File paperwork.
7. Ability to interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.
8. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
9. Consistently sets the example of professional appearance and standards of behavior.
10. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma required. Some college preferred.
• 1 - 2 years related work experience in Accounting.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Advanced computer literacy required with proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Position requires good organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
