Fanatics Collectibles is the home of sports cards, trading cards, and collectibles for over 100 million fans worldwide. As part of the global Fanatics platform, we're rebuilding how collectors discover, buy, sell, and experience their hobby with world class technology and product experiences.
As part of Fanatics’ continued global growth, we are establishing a new technology hub in Mexico City focused on operational excellence, platform scalability, trust, and customer experience. This team partners closely with Customer Experience (CX), Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Payments, and Financial Operations organizations to build scalable systems and operational tooling that support millions of users and transactions globally.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of operational platforms, automation systems, integrations, and tooling that improve customer support workflows, trust and safety investigations, fraud detection operations, and financial operations efficiency.
- Design, build, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and operational tooling
- Support operational workflows across CX, Trust & Safety, and Financial Operations platforms
- Develop automation solutions that reduce manual operational effort and improve scalability
- Partner cross-functionally with operations teams to translate business workflows into technical solutions
- Participate in technical design reviews and architecture discussions
- Contribute to service reliability, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices
- Support incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Participate in agile planning, sprint execution, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building backend systems and APIs using Python, Java, Kotlin, or Go
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Code-Writing Contribution
Code-writing is a core expectation for Software Engineers. This role requires hands-on development of production-grade backend services, operational tooling, APIs, automation workflows, and platform integrations.
