Position Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the day-to-day culinary operations to ensure high-quality food, exceptional guest service, and efficient kitchen performance. This role leads and develops the kitchen team, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, manages labor and food costs, and supports the overall success of the restaurant while upholding Family Entertainment Group's operational and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, presentation, and timely execution.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff while fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, performance management, and employee development.
- Monitor food, labor, and operating costs while supporting sales and profitability goals.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, safe, and operating efficiently at all times.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high food quality and resolving issues promptly.
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining kitchen team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or company leadership.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two or more years of leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospitality, or food service environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members while maintaining high service standards.
- ServSafe®, HACCP, or other food safety certification preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
