About this role
Overview
As a Data Technician, you will be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and or Fiber Optic cabling, installing cable support structures as well as various kinds of A/V, security, and/or DAS devices on a commercial construction site.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating CAT5e/6a and/or Fiber Optic cabling on an active construction site
- Install various kinds of devices such as speakers, projectors, displays, WAPs, card readers,
- access control devices (strikes, locks, or crash bars), transmitters, receivers, and DAS equipment.
- Attend mandatory safety meetings, as well as maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards.
- Accurately label cabling consistent with PM or foreman instruction
- Assist other team members whenever necessary to efficiently complete the installation
- Adhere to company policies and established procedures
Qualifications
- 6-months experience as a commercial low-voltage technician
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Have their own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
- Pass a background check and drug test
- Be able to work dayshifts, nights, or weekends, if needed
