We're expanding our growing Zagreb Engineering Centre of Excellence with a brand-new Suite team. This team will play a key role in modernising our product portfolio by building a new unified frontend while integrating backend capabilities across multiple existing applications.

This is a unique opportunity to join at the beginning of a new team, helping shape both the technical direction and engineering culture from day one.

You'll join a small, highly autonomous engineering team where senior engineers are trusted to make architectural decisions, influence technical direction, and take ownership from design through to delivery.

Initially you'll help expose and consolidate APIs across multiple products while supporting a brand-new React frontend. As the platform evolves, you'll play an important role in building the next generation of our Suite products using modern cloud-native technologies.

Working alongside Product, Design and QA from the outset, you'll be part of cross-functional teams focused on delivering high-quality software rather than following rigid processes.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python
• Develop and expose APIs that integrate multiple existing F24 products
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction
• Collaborate closely with Frontend, Product, Design and QA teams
• Take ownership of features from design through to production
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable
• Support modern engineering practices including code reviews and automated testing
• Contribute to the evolution of a brand-new engineering team

You'll likely have experience with:

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js
• Experience with NestJS (or similar frameworks such as Express or Fastify)
• Python development, ideally using FastAPI
• REST APIs and distributed systems
• Modern software architecture and cloud-native development
• CI/CD and automated testing
• Working within agile product teams
• Taking ownership of technical decisions and delivery

Experience with React or frontend technologies is beneficial but not essential—this role has a strong backend focus.
