Are you organized, dependable, and great at keeping things running behind the scenes? Eye Associates of New Mexico is looking for a Supply Coordinator to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience or an interest in inventory, medical supplies, purchasing, healthcare operations, materials management, or surgical services. You'll play an important role in making sure our surgical teams have the supplies and equipment they need to provide excellent patient care.

What You'll Do

As our Supply Coordinator, you'll work closely with nurses, surgical staff, procurement, and vendors to keep supplies organized, stocked, and ready when they're needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Order, receive, organize, and stock surgical and medical supplies
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels throughout the surgery center
  • Restock operating rooms (ORs) according to established PAR levels
  • Rotate inventory and remove expired or outdated supplies
  • Return overstock and unused items to the OR stock room
  • Help ensure necessary instruments and supplies are available for scheduled procedures
  • Research product availability, pricing, backorders, and order status
  • Review purchase order information for accuracy
  • Communicate with purchasing, nursing staff, vendors, and other team members
  • Anticipate upcoming supply needs and help identify alternatives when products are unavailable or backordered
  • Coordinate office supplies, oxygen-related deliveries, and linen deliveries
  • Assist with administrative and front-office support as needed
  • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and patient-focused surgery center

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer and keyboard skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and telephone skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn the computer systems and equipment used within the surgery center
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Medical terminology knowledge or training
  • Medical billing experience
  • Previous healthcare, medical supply, inventory, purchasing, materials management, warehouse, or surgical center experience

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties associated with handling, stocking, and cleaning specialized equipment and supplies.
