As a Senior Engineer Piping (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the design, coordination and execution of complex piping and utility systems for projects in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries. You will support projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies and detailed engineering to commissioning and start-up, making a significant contribution to successful project delivery.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Plan, design and coordinate piping systems and mechanical equipment throughout all project phases.
  • Develop engineering concepts and solutions for process utilities, clean utilities, black utilities and building services systems.
  • Prepare, review and maintain engineering documentation, technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Perform piping routing studies, pipe modelling, isometrics, orthographic drawings and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and collaborate closely with internal teams, clients and suppliers.
  • Support tendering activities, technical evaluations and procurement processes.
  • Conduct site visits and provide support during installation, commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, schedule and budget requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout all project phases.

Show your expertise

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience (ideally 5-10 years) in the design and implementation of piping and utility systems.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or related industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of all engineering phases, from basic design through commissioning and handover.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D/PDMS, COMOS and Navisworks.
  • Good knowledge of international engineering codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Category B driving licence is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style.
  • Intercultural awareness and flexibility within an international project environment.
