The Expert Planning & Project Controls acts as a central PMO function within projects, responsible for the integrated management of scheduling, cost control, and document management. The role ensures transparency, structure, and efficiency in project execution and serves as a key interface between project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 and monitor overall project progress
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineering, and stakeholders to align timelines, scope, and deliverables
- Identify schedule deviations, perform analyses, and provide recommendations to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Lead project cost control activities including forecasting, resource planning, and P&L tracking for the assigned scope
- Manage scope changes and assess their commercial impact while ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Oversee invoicing processes and cost control activities within SAP
- Act as main client interface (TIC) for all cost-related topics including reporting and performance updates
- Manage and optimize document control systems (e.g. SharePoint), ensuring proper structure, access, and user support
- Ensure full document lifecycle management including version control, metadata, workflows, and compliance with project requirements
Show your expertise
- Proven experience in project controls, planning, or project management within complex EPC or construction projects
- Strong expertise in scheduling (Primavera P6) and cost control
- Experience with SAP as well as document management tools (e.g. SharePoint)
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple project control dimensions in parallel
- Strong communication skills and confident stakeholder management
- High level of ownership, reliability, and accountability
- Fluent German and English, French is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland
