About Layla

Layla is an AI travel company. Our assistant plans real trips — flights, hotels, activities, and the day-by-day detail — in minutes rather than evenings, and our travel experts step in for the trips that need a human. More than two million trips have been planned on Layla, and we also build Bellboy, our AI hotel search product.

Founded in 2023 in Berlin, Layla has built one of the most innovative conversational AI travel planning experiences anywhere — helping travelers move seamlessly from inspiration to a complete, bookable itinerary. The team is small and senior by design: roughly 20–25 people today, growing deliberately. There are no large layers here — you own a surface, ship it, and see the effect on real travelers and real revenue within weeks.

In July 2026, Expedia Group acquired Layla to accelerate its AI-native trip planning and booking strategy — spanning the full journey from inspiration to planning, booking, and support for travelers worldwide.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $184,500.00 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. The total cash range for this position in San Jose is $187,000.00 to $261,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $299,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $187,000.00 to $261,500.00.
