In this role you will:

Travel is full of signals: where people search, what they book, where plans change, and what makes a trip feel effortless. In this role, you will turn those signals into stories teams can act on. With support from your manager and mentor, you will dig into real business questions, test ideas with data, and help shape experiences that make travel easier and more joyful for millions of people.

  • Dive into traveler, partner, product, and marketplace data to spot patterns, seize opportunities, and explain what is really happening using SQL, Python/R, and foundational statistics.

  • Create analysis that others can trust: clean queries or scripts, documented assumptions, version-controlled work, peer feedback, and practical checks for data quality.

  • Learn how great analytics products are built, from crisp metric definitions to thoughtful datasets, data models, dashboards, and experiment readouts.

  • Work side by side with mentors, engineers, product managers, and business partners to turn open-ended questions into clear success metrics, simple tests, sharp visuals, and recommendations people can use.

  • Bring a builder's mindset to dashboards, reports, and data assets: troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and make the workflow faster, clearer, and easier to maintain.

  • Use AI and ML-enabled tools like a smart co-pilot, not an autopilot: move faster on exploration, analysis, or code review while checking the logic, validating the output, and calling out risks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be available to commit to the full program dates: May/June 2027

  • Must be graduating with an undergraduate degree in a technical subject (e.g. Math, Statistics, Data Science) by July 2028

  • Must be willing to relocate to city of job location if outside commuting distance

  • Must commit to full-time hours every week for the duration of the internship

  • Must be graduating from university in the same country of internship location

  • Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Helpful to have built something with data through coursework, projects, or internships, especially using SQL and Python or R to clean, explore, and explain messy real-world datasets

  • Helpful to be curious, self-directed, and comfortable chasing the next good question when the first answer does not quite tell the whole story

  • Helpful to be able to tell the story behind the numbers: what changed, why it matters, what could be wrong, and what a team should do next

  • Helpful to have experience turning analysis into clear visuals with tools like Tableau or Excel, and to know how to use AI tools thoughtfully while still owning the answer

What We Offer:

Successful candidates will receive a competitive compensation package including the benefits below and others:

  • Hybrid Work Policy

  • Travel discounts

  • Opportunity to receive a full-time permanent offer after graduation and 12 months of customised support from our Emerging Talent & Careers team

  • Community support through Expedia Group’s Inclusion Business Groups

Next Steps:

Apply now! After you apply, eligible candidates will be encouraged to take a skills based online assessment as the first step. Depending on the role profile, selected candidates will then progress to a functional online assessment focused on skills for that role.
