Role Title: Senior Marketing Manager

BU/Segment: Enabling / Marketing

Location:   London, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Permanent

Summary of the role:

EXL is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our International Growth Markets business — our fastest-growing market. Based in London, this is a rare opportunity to shape marketing strategy at scale, with the backing of a global team and access to some of the world's most influential clients.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President (SAVP) of International Growth Markets (EMEA and APAC), you'll have a primary focus on the UK market. You'll contribute directly to the overall International Growth Markets strategy, while taking ownership of marketing across multiple industries — with Insurance and Banking as your core focus.  What matters more than industry expertise is the ability to build credible industry narratives, quickly get up to speed, and work effectively with specialists.

This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with clear ownership across the full marketing remit. You will be directly accountable for building EXL's brand recognition in the UK market, driving industry growth, generating and qualifying leads, developing pipeline, and nurturing priority accounts — with double-digit year-on-year growth as the benchmark. To deliver at that level, you will need to be equally strong as a strategist and an executor: someone who can set a clear direction, stay organised across multiple priorities, and follow through with precision. You will partner closely with senior executive stakeholders, sales teams, and account leads — and your ability to influence, align, and mobilise those relationships will be as important as the quality of your marketing plans. A globally distributed support team is in place to help you deliver, but success in this role comes from knowing how to lead effectively through a matrixed structure, without losing sight of what needs to get done.

Becoming an integral part of the team and collaborating effectively is critical to your success in this role.  As such, we ask for 4 days presence in the office.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Work directly with the International Growth Markets (IGM) EMEA / APAC marketing lead to contribute to the overall IGM marketing strategy and support key X-IGM initiatives, leading on the development of key programmes.

  • Own and drive the UK marketing strategy for the Insurance and Banking industries, working directly with business leads and teams to develop and deliver the marketing strategy for each vertical.

  • Build strong working relationships with senior executive stakeholders, sales teams and account leads, effectively partnering and collaborating, but also influencing and challenging in order to develop plans that will deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Take direct ownership of industry reputation, demand generation, pipeline growth, and priority account nurturing — with double-digit year-on-year growth as the benchmark.

  • Coordinate a globally distributed team of specialists — spanning campaign support, PR, brand, social media, analyst relations, partner marketing and CSRs / SDRs — to execute with consistency and quality.

  • Stay close to execution, ensuring high standards across every channel and driving follow-through on actions that convert marketing activity into pipeline and revenue.

  • Measure and report on performance, using data to continuously refine programmes and demonstrate return on investment.

  • Actively contribute to the progress and development of the Growth Marketing function, of which IGM is a part, bringing innovative ideas and a demonstrated ability to integrate AI into marketing workflows.

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a track record of building strategies that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth.

  • Strong background in AI-led, data-led, or similarly complex enterprise environments — you understand how to market sophisticated solutions to informed, senior buyers.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation, coordinating cross-functional and globally distributed teams to deliver with consistency and quality.

  • Confident working alongside senior executive stakeholders, sales leaders, and account teams — able to influence without authority and turn strategic alignment into action.

  • A balance of strategic thinking and delivery discipline: you can set direction, stay organised across competing priorities, and follow through with precision.

  • Direct ownership experience across demand generation, pipeline development, and account-based marketing programmes, with the commercial acumen to connect activity to outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to measuring performance and optimising programmes.

  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and in the room with senior stakeholders.

  • Experience in one or more of our target industries (Insurance or Banking) is valued.

  • A background in consulting, professional services, or a data and AI-led organisation similar to EXL is a strong advantage.

  • Experience using AI in marketing workflows.

As part of a leading global Data and AI company, you can look forward to:

  • A competitive salary with a generous bonus, private healthcare, critical illness life assurance at 4 x your annual salary, income protection insurance, and a rewarding pension.

  • EXL provides everyday financial well-being solutions, such as cash back cards, in which you can earn cashback while enjoying discounts, promotions, and offers from top retailers. We also offer a Cycle Scheme where you can save money on bikes and cycling accessories.

  • At EXL, we are committed to providing our employees with the tools and resources they need to succeed and excel in their careers. We offer a wide range of professional and personal development opportunities. We also support a range of learning initiatives that allow our employees to build on their existing skills and knowledge. From online courses to seminars and workshops, our employees have the opportunity to enhance their skills and stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies.

  • As an Equal Opportunity Employer, EXL is committed to diversity. Our company does not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, age, or disability status.

  • EXL employees are eligible to purchase stock as part of our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).

  • At EXL, we offer a flexible hybrid working model that allows employees to live a balanced, healthy lifestyle while strengthening our culture of collaboration.

To be considered for this role, you must already be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
